Migrating win7 from RAID 5 to non RAID
Hi all,
First of all I have searched quite extensively for this topic on the web, and found a few links to forums here, but my question has not really be answered to the point that I am comfortabel.
I have a home PC, used mainly for video editing, which has a 3 disk RAID 5 array for the OS (was winXP pro on 2 partitions so that my editing wasn't hampered by unneccesary software installed) After a failure, I deleted one of the volumes in the array (typically the one with most required data on it!) and managed to get the PC working again. I installed Win7 32 bit and lost the dual boot option (I guess I could fix this if required) but am not comfy with the RAID setup. I'd prefer to drop to a single non RAID disk, or disks for the OS('s)
Now that you have the history (sorry for the short story) I'll get down to the problem..
Win7 running on c:\, but the loader appears to be still on the old partition (D:\ when I start windows) I want to migrate the whole lot (win7 and it's loader) from the hardware RAID 5 array (Intel ICH7 controller on an ASUS P5W DH Deluxe Mobo) to a standard SATA disk on the mobo (i.e. break and remove the RAID array, then restore from the new single disk)
Array currently has 3 x 250 Seagate SATA HDD's
Summary:
Can Acronis do this?
My other question is that I have seen a lot of negative comments on the Acronis forum relating to poor customer service, poor support etc etc. So I guess the easiest option would simply be to trash the RAID and re-install everything, but I would rather migrate knowing I also have a product that can give me dual boot O/S's in future and the ability to migrate when I decide to upgrade the mobo.
Thanks for your patience and I look forward to a response or two.

Apologies but I guess I need to mention also that the current installation is on 500GB of Array (one 300 GB partition and one 200GB partition) - the target drive would be a single 250GB HDD, but there is more than enough space for re-sizing. I think about 165gb free on the 300gb partition, and the 200gb partition no longer needed, but has the loader on it.
Thanks!
