Unable to install or upgrade to ABR v11 Virtual Edition - Not accepting new keys
I'm attempting to install ABR v11 Virtual Edition. I started with a very recent (last month) installation of ABR v10 Virtual Edition, and initiated the upgrade process, but the installer would NOT accept the new keys and allow me to proceed. In working with Acronis Tech Support during an app-share session, they also could NOT get the new keys to apply. They recommended I uninstall ABR v10 Virtual Edition and try a "fresh" install of ABR v11. I followed Tech Support procedure for completely uninstalling ABR v10 Virtual Edition.
I have now tried to install ABR v11 Virtual Edition from scratch, but it is still NOT accepting my upgrade keys (I have 2 lic.). I have attempted 4 different permutations of key input ... first old key, then new ... first new, then old. I have tried importing keys from text file. I have first installed the lic. server and tried to add the keys but it will NOT take my new cases, only the old v10 keys.
In all cases the "Next" button is never enabled, and I CANNOT proceed to the next screen.
Have any other users experienced this problem ?
My feeling is that the keys I were provided are not valid for ABR v11 install or upgrade.
Attached is the screenshot of the key dialog, and my system info.
Thank you.

One other thing you could try, extract the MSI installer and try th einstall using that rather than the acronis installer.

I have tried a variety of workarounds including extracting the files and manually installing the components. I spoke with Acronis Tech Support last night and they tell me there's another build that "may" solve this problem, but tech support doesn't have access to it yet. They asked me to send the digital signature information of the installer I have, which I did.
Being new to Acronis products, are they known for bumbling new releases and slow to provides resolution ?

Hello scappo,
I have updated / installed a lot ABR 11 Advanced Server and the Virtual Edition and I don´t have the Problems. Which Filename and which Size (in Bytes) have your Installationfile?
Important is to remove the Acronis License Server completely BEFORE you install the actual buildversion.
If you want I can try to help you via Teamviewer / Skype.
Best regards

I have determined that the Acronis Backup & Recovery Virtual Edition - ABR11A.17217_en-US - 1,221,236 KB signed June 19th will not accept my keys.
There is a newer english "EU" build available (digitally signed June 21st) which accepts the keys and installs properly.
When does Acronis intend to make a ABR11A English "US" build available to their US customers in the MY ACCOUNT download ?

Scappo,
I downloaded from the US website on Thursday and it was signed June 21st.

Where on the US website did you download from ?
I login to my "MY ACCOUNT" on the Acronis site and download from there (on tuesday) and it was the earlier build.

(re)-downloaded the ABR11 "US" build package again this morning ( July 1st ).
This package has a digital signature of June 23rd.
Started the installation wizard and it DID accept the keys. Hurray !

Hello Hendrik,
Thank you again for the help a few weeks back.
I noticed the tape-drive option with ABR v11. Do you have experience with Tape-Drives and Acronis? Do you have a preferred tape-drive manufacturer that you know works well ?
Thanks.
