Deploying Win 7 Ent

Thread needs solution

I have created an image from an HP Proliant desktop system running Windows 7 Enterprise x64 and Office 2010 x86.

The image created with no problems and reported no errors. When I try to deploy it to another system (same model and configuration) it takes about 40 minutes or so and then reboots. Windows enters startup repair. I have stepped through that wizard and it isnt much help... when I reboot again, the system will loop a few times and then enter start up repair mode.

Not sure what I am missing.

Updated all server side acronis components to build 3501. Deploying with PXE.

Might anyone have any thoughts?

thanks

Derek

Hello Derek,

Thank you for posting and welcome to the forum. I will do my best to assist you.

When you mention 40 minutes and the reboot, does it finish deployment or does it reboot near the end? If it reboots near the end it could be caused by some hardware issue. Please edit the deployment template and toggle between unicast/multicast or vice versa.

Did you resize any partitions during deployment? Have you excluded any partitions?

Looking forward to your reply and if you have additional questions please let me know.

Thank you.
