has anyone found a solution for this or did i just waste $25.00 on a upgrade.?

Albey,

Uninstall the product, and follow the instructions of the following thread to clean up your registry with the cleanup tool and/or manually:

Pat,
Thank you for trying to help. I just tried your suggestion and it didn’t work. I still get the same messages when trying to install. Any other suggestions or do I need to try to contact tech support?

If you applied the recommendations of the thread above and this one http://kb.acronis.com/content/15190, your best course of action is to contact support so they can analyze your installation log.

Hi Pat,
Once again thank you for your assistance but unfortunately it is a no go. I put in a request to Tech Support and once I have found a solution I will post it here for others to find. This upgrade has been out for almost a year and is supposed to be for Windows 7. You would think by now they would have worked out the bugs at least in the install dept. Oh well.
