VersionChainBackup works OK with USB to ext HDD - fails with ExpressCard & eSATA cable
I have an external LaCie 4 BIG disk (configured as Raid 5+1). It works fine as target for ATIH 11 (Update 2 build 6868) VersionChainBackup for files when connected to the PC via USB cable.
When I chose the alternate (faster) connection of an ExpressCard (Silicon Image SiI 3132 SATALink controller) using an eSATA cable to the same drive - the VersionChainBackup will not start when I click the "BACK UP NOW" button - it seems to be waiting for the target drive to be found.
NOTE - with either cable connection the PC (Win7 64) has no problem navigating to the RAID drive and using it. I have always checked this connection before starting ATIH 11.
Is there a known issue with ATIH 11 being able to detect drives using this type of controller?
Is there a workaround?
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the reply. YES - I expect that I just have to give up on this card for ATI. It works for WIN7 tasks so will use for that. I have no need for Std ATI Recovery (unix based) as I just have 3 exact same HW disks in rotation....."Recovery" if needed is just 30 seconds and screwdriver" away. Install the cloned disk and boot.
