Restore disk image from Dell to HP server?

Hi,
Is it possible to restore/recover a full disk image or a backup made on a Dell server to an HP server, or does hardware have to be the same?

Anyone have advise about this? Does server hardware need to be the same to restore a disk image from one computer to another?

You won't be able to do that because of the hardware and driver differences between the two machines. Your best bet is only to restore the data files from the Dell image to the HP machine.
