No back-up file name?

Thread needs solution

Hi,
I'm running Acronis True Image Home V11.0.

I've created my first full backup, and have backed up the entire C drive onto an external HD.

I now want to set up a daily incremental back up. Using the back up wizard I get to the stage where I'm asked to pick the full back up file name from the directory tree, - however when I browse to the back up location there are 44 files there, not 1. The files all have my nominated back up file name, and then are suffixed with 1-44. They have a .tib extension.
What file do I choose as the original back up file to start the incremental back ups from?
Thanks

Hello Harry,

Welcome to our Forum, we're glad to greet you here. I understand your concern, and will be glad to assist you.

There can be different reasons for that, the most possible is that the target location you've saved the backup to is formatted to FAT32, and the file size limitation on such file system is 4 GB, so your backup got split. In such case in order to create an incremental, you need to select the last piece of the backup.

Still a screenshot of the backup location would be good as well as the Acronis Info from the problem machine.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!

Hi Yana,
Thanks for your reply and help.
I've checked the disk properties of the back up location and it is FAT32.
I have attached a screenshot of the back up location and also the report from Acronis Info.
Thanks for your help and I would appreciate your further advice.
Harry
