Installation apparantly won't complete

Thread needs solution

TI 2011 Home on a WIN7-64 system. Motherboard went south, so replaced it. HDDs are RAID10, and new motherboard same Intel chip set, so it recognized the four HDDs and put everything back together with few problems. But TI would not run, giving me a message as though at the end of installation: "You must restart your computer before using TI." So I restart. No difference. Uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted PC as directed, but still get this message. I cannot find the build number, etc, because I cannot get past this error message.

I might consider upgrading to a newer version, but think that this problem might persist, so I will have paid for a new problem, not a new program.

I may have installed a different version of TI in the past, which might be confusing this installation. Is there a utility that will totally wipe everything related to TI, especially in the registry?

The closest thing for a complete removal would be the cleanup utility (link below inside signature). Be sure you have a full backup before doing the cleanup so you have a recover option if it does not get everything.

Afterwards, you might try an registry cleaners that you use regularly.

I'll give it a try, but cannot do a back up first: it won't run, remember?

Try backing up with the Acronis rescue disc or set a restore point in Windows.

Clean up utility worked fine; alll is well now. Thanks.
