I followed the instructions and everything worked until the command "schedmgr service start " it returned "rror: 3 (0x3)- The system cannot find the path specified.
When I try to schedule a new task it tells me my credentials are not valid. Why does this have to be rocket science? I have a user name on my PC with no password!

I have a very similar problem:
I just try to restore an Image of a HD and i follow all the steps. Then I appears the task manager and the task corresponding to the restoration is there but nothing happens. The task appears as "Inactive". I try to right-click on it and then select the "Start" option but nothing happens.
Then I found this thread and I've tried to do this thing with the "schedmgr" but the command "schedmgr service start " shows the following error:
service
start
rror: 3 (0x3) - El sistema no puede hallar la ruta especificada.
It seems every task depends on schedule manager (even if you don't want to schedule the task) and if schedule manager doesn't work the software is completely useless !!
Amazing considering it is a software intended to protect you against failures.
I hope before deploying a new schedule manager someone just tries to start a single simple task on it, on windows XP + SP2.
I hope someone answers soon...
thanks,
Gabi

Hello Bucksdelux and Gabriel,
We're really sorry for the delay with the response.
I'm familiar with the issue and will do my best to fix it.
Indeed, the reason of the issue is the malfunction of Acronis Scheduler, which is a component of Acronis True Image.
We've created a special utility that will update the service automatically:
-
Download Acronis Scheduler, which is a special utility to update the scheduler service:
- Windows 32/64 bit: scheduler
-
Extract the downloaded file and run install.bat. The utility will automatically update the service;
See if the issue is resolved. If it is not, then please proceed with steps 3 and 4:
- Reboot the machine;
- Recreate the scheduled tasks.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Thank you.
