Nothing to select as source
Greetings.
I recently upgraded from DiscWizard to Acronis TIH for the ability to create an incremental backup. When using DiscWizard, I had no problems at all (other than a rather lengthy backup time, but that's besides the point).
Now, when using Acronis TIH, I cannot select anything as a source for the backup. I can see all my drives for the destination, but nothing is appearing for the source.
My Local Disk (C) that I want to back up is, strangely, appearing as removable hardware, just like a USB Hard drive, but it is located in the primary ATA channel, and was visible to DiscWizard. Could this be the cause of the issue (I don't think it should be, as even external HDs should be visible for back up source).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, make sure you run the installed while your security software is disabled. I have seen wildly different results when the AV is off (picture perfect upgrade from 2011 in place) and when it is in (missing drivers, problems with file backup, no source disk to backup)

Thanks for the swift responses.
I'm at work right now so can't try these fixes, but I'll let you know how I get on as soon as I am available.

Hi again,
I have tried the aforementioned suggestions. I am still experiencing the problems.
Nothing is appearing as a backup source even after a repair install, full re-install, anti-virus on/off, nothing is working.
Could it be that my HDD is seen as an external, removable drive (even though DiscWizard didn't care) or is it something else?

When you click on the link to change the source disk display (single partition, multiple partitions, disk/partition mode) and you stretch the windo, can you see anything?

Now that I check, I cannot even restore backups that I made previously due to there not being a recognised internal hard disk drive (see attached images).
Absolutely nothing appears. When I change the view mode, still nothing appears. There is no recognised drive. DiscWizard recognised it, TIH recognised it (before the disk re-format), but now TIH doesn't recognise it.

Lee,
You have tried the basic fix-it-yourself techniques. You'd better contact Acronis support so that they can examine your system report.

Hello all,
Thank you for taking time to contact us.
Lee,
I would recommend you to install SnapAPI module. The file created for Acronis True Image Home 2012 is available in this article.
If this doesn't help, please obtain Acronis system report as advised and contact Acronis support.
Thank you.
