Can't Turn Off Backup at System Start

Thread needs solution

I have had a somewhat annoying problem ever since I installed True Image Home 2011. If I've missed a scheduled backup because my computer was turned off at the time the backup was scheduled, I DO NOT want it to attempt the backup the next time I turn the computer on. My PC has enough to do when starting up, and I don't want Acronis adding to the confusion at startup time. Also, usually I've had the computer off during that time for a reason, and I don't neccessarily want my last session backed up. I know about the Advanced settings in the schedule setup, and I have UN-checked the box for "Missed backup: Run at system startup, but True Image still starts the missed backup every time when I boot up. I know I can manually cancel the backup as soon as it starts, but why should I have to if the program is working properly? This same behavior occurs on my laptop computer as well, so I am thinking this is a bug, rather than a settings issue. Any ideas?

You might have a rogue scheduler task. YOu can download the Acronis schedule manager here http://kb.acronis.com/content/1859
Use it to ZAP all your schedules.
Check in advanced settings of your scheduler for the task *and for the validation* that the boxes are unchecked.

If this doesn't work, export your backup settings, uninstall, reboot, reinstall, import your settings and check them.
