It has been 2 weeks since the release and no patches for all the open issues!?!!

Thread needs solution

Just wondering when the first update will be out, and what it will cover since it has been out 2 weeks and I have yet to be able to make a good backup (or even do it to my NAS...)

Just asking....

I hope that is only a joke?!!!!

I don't want wait so long.

I wait only a few days.

If there don't come a patch out, i will get my money for TIH 2012 back.

Or maybe fix is chargeable 2013 upgrade?

I think the developers need time to sort out the major problems that have appeared and to test them.

I suspect, but I stress I don't know, that they will aim for end of this month or very early October.

For the last few years, Acronis has issued one or two updates to a version, usually within about 2 months and then another by about Feb or March.

Acronis has no manpower for the updates
cause the whole stuff ist working on the
new digital right management feature.

More likely the staff is working on the issues with the initial release of 2012. This is to be expected with an initial release and has happened wtih prior versions, which didn't have the online activation feature.

What are you referering to regarding to DRM? Are you talking about the online activation?

Just a note, I work in the commercial software industry on a large, complicated product for end user machines. If we had this sort of problems then I can promise you we would have had at least the majority of the bugs worked out within 2 weeks, patches issued, and customers informed. Looks like the whole Q/A process either failed or they needed a quick revenue push for year end numbers. Bugs DO happen, but there are to many issues going on here to be a solid release.

So basically it looks like a gamble here. Wait to see if they fix it or get our money back.

It would be nice if someone from the company would give us some solid information.

yes, the online activation and that you
have to log in. So I think I cannot use
ATIH 2012 on my laptop.

I don't think you have to log in unless you are using on-line feature, i.e., Sync. I never have to log in, then again, I don't use sync.

If you think this is bad, you should see some of the mainframe stuff out there. e.g., Your bank ATM software looks simple to the end user but for the banks, it's a mess both in coding and tech support.
