True Image 11 Encryption Strength?

Thread needs solution

Wow, new forum. I was a member of the old one but it looks like it closed up on me in my absence!

I use the bootable version of Acronis True Image 11 to make backups of the C Drive with Windows every few months. This time I want to backup some personal files and I want them encrypted. I did the backup that consists of several 4.3 GB files that are password protected.

Are these safely encrypted and how will I know?
Will I need to spend several hours encrypting them with WinRAR and will that work?

Thanks for your time.

I suppose you are talking about v11. If this is the case, your file are password protected which provide a weak protection. A quick Google search shows that you can find password removal tools for the TIB format.

If you are talking about 2011, the protection can be very strong because encryption is used. The resistance to hacking will depend on the strength of your password.
