True Image v10 and Netgear

Thread needs solution

I have just installed a Netgear ReadyNAS Duo backup system but when I try to use Acronis to do the backup it asks for a password as below

"User name or password for the remote resource X:\Acronis C System\14Sept2011.tib is incorrect. Please check user name and password and type it again"

As a task using Acronis I have not st any passwords. Please would someone be able to advise me if there is a fix/patch for this issue? I have searched the Acronis updates but cannot see anything listed.
At this stage I am a little reluctant to 'upgrade' to a current version of Acronis in case the same thing happens

Regards

Richard

I use a Netgear ReadyNas Duo and Acronis hme 2011 and any password requests Acronsi has thronwe up I have just entered the login details for the NAS drive - I think mysetup expectd admin userId to access the backup folders on the NAS drive.
Perhaps Acronis expects some sort of login even if you did not set one. perhaps create a Acronis user ID/password in the Duo for the backups folder, and try using that?
I've used SMB, FTP and Apple Time Machine (whcih sets its own password anyway to be fair), and so far no problems with access (bar the fault with FTP which appears fixed with the latest home2011 patch to 6868) between the Duo and Acronis...

You could try using the UNC path (\\server\share) instead of a mapped drive. Mapped drives are usually not accessible when TI runs the task because it's run under a different account.
