I purchased True Image 2010, In late August of last year. I am trying to backup a Dell T7500, but everytime I try, the process hangs. After hours of waiting, I simply shut the power off. I downloaded the latest build of 2010, but it did not help. Will upgrading to 2012 resolve the situation? Is there anything else that will help?

You bought it a year ago, but have never used it until now? So it's never worked for you? By "latest" you mean build 7160?

Are you trying to backup from ATI in Windows? Does it work from a Rescue Media e.g. disk or USB stick?

Exactly where does it "hang"?

What are you backing-up, and to what kind of drive?

Are you running DataRAM RAMDisk?

There is a newer SnapAPI updater you can find in the Articles here which will update your snapshot driver to b586 iirc. I believe you can find it here:
