Problem to remove Windows 7 backup and restore after Acronis software installed

Thread needs solution

I used Windows 7 built-in backup and restore feature before I installed Acronis True Image Home 2011.

I can't find Windows 7 scheduled file backup task after I installed Acronis True Image Home 2011 but Windows 7 keeps doing schedule backup while Acronis True Image Home 2011 doing the same task as well.

How to disable Windows 7 schedule backup and use only Acronis True Image Home 2011? There is no place for me to disable Windows 7 schedule backup

Cornhusker,

Go to help > settings > integrate into windows, uncheck Acronis console in control panel (not exact wording). This should give you the Win 7 control panel back.

If I were you, I would keep the Win7 backups going as a redundant backup set, possibly less frequent, ideally on a different destination.

why? my experience has been that W7's native bu is buggy and exceptionally slow.

Neal,

If you don't like it don't use it :-) My point was to get the user to have redundant backups, ideally done with different technologies, although this diversification factor is less important than diversifying the backup locations (offsite/onsite).
As far as Win7 backup is concerned, it worked perfectly on my computer. Just like any imaging software, your mileage will vary...
