Are you able to validate any of the backups? My guess is that you cannot. If not, then it is likely that the files were corrupted when created, either by a disk problem, a memory problem, or less frequently, an inability for ati's drivers to work correctly with your hardware.

To check the disk, in windows save any open work, go to start, run, enter cmd, enter chkdsk c: /r. then reboot. If chkdsk is not onthe current path, then do a file search for it and navigate to that directory or enter the full directory in front of the command like this, e.g.:

c:Windows\system32\chkdsk c: /f

This assumes C" is the drive want to test.

IF chkdsk finds any errors, that's probably the problem and it's probably fixed by chkdsk.
Note that, if chkdsk fixes the problems and they reapper (e.g., bad sectors keep popping up) then you probalby need to replace your hardisk.

to check the memory run memtest overnight -- it's a free program. If it turns up errors after running all night, then that's problaby the problem and replacing the bad memory is the only solution.

If it's not either those, then create a system report and send it to Tech Suppport.

Efendy,

In addition to Scott's troubleshooting, do the validation and recovery from the recovery CD. If the validation passes but the recovery error subsists, try to get the latest downloadable ISO from your Acronis account, and burn it *as an ISO* to create a new recovery CD. IF this doesn't fix it, you will need Acronis' help to sort this out, as Scott H suggested.
