2011 Nonstop backup destination disk

Thread needs solution

I am trying to setup nonstop backup. I have 2 internal NTFS hard disks. Both are visible and selectable as target locations but only one of the disks appears as a destination. There is plenty of space on both.

When you look at the Windows disk management console, is any disk other than basic, mbr disk? does one contain an active or a hidden system partition?

What type of Non stop backup are you trying to set up? Partition type of file type?

For example, you cannot non-stop backup a disk to itself.

File type. I am trying to backup some files from one internal disk to a different physical hard disk.

I guess ATI doesn't want to use the system partition to store the NSB information, but I was not aware there was this kind of restriction. I know that ATI cannot store NSB data on a partition that is not NTFS. Maybe there is some information on the disk that ATI sees and doesn't like...

My backup drive has an installation of Vista that I used to dual boot into. I wonder if that is the issue??

For info, I sorted the issue. The bootmgr was stored on the internal backup disk I was trying to use even though my system disk was the other one. Must have been a hangover from installing a dual boot vista system. I moved the bootmgr and everything works now.
