Trouble Activating

Thread needs solution

I have both ATIH 2012 and the Pluspack.
Although I have activated both I am getting 2 messages. One says X days to go to activate and the other saying my subscription is due to expire. Can anyone help please?

I have the same problem, and even after Acronis spent 30 minutes trying to debug why my software has now counted down to 0 days and frozen on me the problem is still not fixed. I think they have a bug in the software that they cannot fix and I am demanding my money back.

I have the same issue, and, what's most frustrating is that I am not getting any further response to my emails. They just ignore me and this very serious issue. What a shame.

FYI,

Every time i try to activate by pressing on the words "Activate now", there is a message posted to the log which states:
"No Windows Libraries"

Perhaps this is meaningful to the support personel who are working on this problem.

To localize the issue could you please preform the below test?

Please go to C:\Program files (x86)\Acronis\TrueImageHome\license_activator.exe, run the file and see if the issue remains. 

If the issue still persists, could you please obtain the following information?

1) Please make sure that the file C:\Program Files\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Common\libcrypto10.dll is present at the system

2) Please provide us with the screen shot of the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Acronis\TrueImageHome\CommonComponents (Start -> regedit)

3) Please provide us with the screen shot of the message posted to the log which states: "No Windows Libraries"

If you are not familiar with making screen shots, please read the below step-by-step instructions.
- Get to the window which you want to make a screen shot of;
- Hit the (Alt+)PrintScreen button on your keyboard;
- Run Paint usually available in Start\Programs\Accessories or another graphics application;
- Choose Paste command in Edit menu;
- Save the result picture in JPEG format being preferable.

I installed a trial version that expired after 30 days since my order (retail business) did not arrive in time. Since then, I have been trying to activate ATIH 2012 for over a week now, but I have been unsuccessful. I keep having this error message that the ATIH needs activation and it will not work otherwise, I cannot do anything with it.
I contacted customer support and "chatted" with 4-5 different agents and spoke on the phone with another 2 (also asked for a supervisor). They are not able to solve the problem (also one agent made some changes to my computer that were not necessary and were permanent).
I get these error messages every time i turn on the computer and the customer support is doing nothing to help me. I asked for a supervisor to contact me and I am still waiting (over a week).
By the way they say that customer support is 24/7: that is not true. try to call them during the weekend and you will not get anyone to help you.

I upgraded from ATIH 2010 to 2012. I believe I used auto-activation during installation, but not sure. Status message says "Activation required", so I "activated now", entered both new and old serial numbers. Activation pane reported successful and all features now available, but the countdown clock and "Activation required" message remains. Selecting Help>Activate results in the brief "activating product" pane, but the countdown clock remains.
Attached is the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Acronis\TrueImageHome\CommonComponents image.
No messages posted to the log.
I have a few days left before activation time expires. Appreciate your help.

The problem is still not resolved after more than10 days. Case number is 01356325.
I have been contacting the support almost every day and they tried everything and ran many types of reports.
I also personally uploaded report files (they made me install also some extra programs like "wireshark" to get a view of the network error messages) to them. I am still waiting for them to solve the problem.
They have a big bug with the software and they said that they cannot even refund me because I did not buy the product directly from them ! That is unbelievable !

Have you tried a repair install and see fi that solves the problem? If not, raise a support ticket.

If you want a refund why not take it back to the place you purchased it from with a copies of your support case to prove you are having a problem. If you live within the EU zone, then the retailer is responsible for warranty and product fault claims.

I also upgraded to True Image Home 2012 and am seeing the activate now message. Putting the serial # causes no complaints but doesn't seem to have any effect either. I am getting concerned about the life of this program!

The problem seems to only be on the first unit I installed it on. I put ATIH my desktop and it seems to be OK, but the laptop (original installation) gets the error.

It is beyond return now, because it has been almost a month; the support people kept telling me that it would have been fixed in a little time, but now we are getting in the 3rd week with them; and even if the case has been escalated (at least it is what they said) no one has contacted me in the past 4 days...........
Customer service is at big fault here......

Finally some expert at the company sent me the very latest build and I was able to activate it; I still have to try the full functionality; I hope I don't get any more problems or errors.
