Incremental backup - First tib file missing

Thread needs solution

I have made a lot of incremental backups. Now i must restore some files but the first backup file (tib) is missing.
I know that files i want to restore are in the latest incremental backup file.
How can i extract files from this latest backup file without using the older incremental backup files ?

Is it possible to extract a single incremental backup file ?
( True Image Home 2009 + WIN 7 )

Thank you
Achim

You will have to use ATI's interface to select the data of the incremental you want to restore from.

When ATI tells you that the first backup file is missing, is it "Specify location of volume 1" kind of message? Can you browse to a TIB file? Did you try to browse to the first TIB file of the chain?

Or do you know for a fact that the first file is lost? If yes, you have no way of getting to the files.

I have same problem, software keep saying that first or 1 volume is missing, I may accidentally deleted first catalog / volume / archive (total files in incremental backup set - 8) There is any way to extract data off existing TIBs w/o having 1 in place?

Thank you, Spasibo za ranee!

Unfortunately, you cannot do anything if you cannot point ATI to a TIB file to address the "missing volume" message.
