HELP! Acronis seems to have caused my system to crash

Thread needs solution

Howdy:
I am a registered user of 2012 (and many other earlier versions.) 2012 will not let me backup to a network drive (very aggravating!). So I uninstalled 2012 and reinstalled 2010. This processed caused my system (win7 on Lenovo T520) to crash (BSD.) I used MS Bootrec to recover. It recovered but seems to have generated an invisible partition. Now when I boot, it appears the new partition somehow gets involved. I can operate win7 relatively well, but I now have very high disc access going on. Additionally, I have tried to removed Acronis 2012 and get the BSD when I try! I have used other backup s/w (including the builtin Lenovo provided backup s/w) but something (this invisible partition?) causes them to crash also.

Anyone give me a clue how to resolve this. I really do not want to do a clean install. I have tons of s/w and it would take days to rebuild.
Thanks,
Harold

The quickest and most efficient to get you back to normal would be for you to boot from the TI bootable media REscue CD and to restore your system partition (probably C) from one of your 2010 backups. This would put you back to when 2010 was installed.

If you wish to try again, uninstall 2010 before installing the 2012 version.
