Bootable rescue media builder

Thread needs solution

I created a bootable rescue cd. I noticed at the end that it said that there was no autorun set for the disk. I didn't see any place to select that option. HOw do you set it?

Also, TI 2009 wants to create a hidden recovery partion on my c drive. Do most people do that? I created a backup on an external drive. My Dell pc already has two hidden partions. If I let True Image make this hidden partion, will it cause any problems with the hidden partions that are already there?

You do not need the hidden partition (Acronis Secure Zone). Storing backups on your external USB drive is fine. In fact, it's more secure than the "secure" zone. If you have backups stored on a secure zone on your internal disk, then imagine what happens if your disk dies (your backup dies with it).

The bootable rescue CD will only be used to boot your PC. Autorun is a feature of Windows. When you use the rescue CD, Windows will not be running. Ignore the message about autorun.
