Is it possible to repeat/retry a failed task automatically?
Hello,
i am using Acronis True Image 2009, lastest available german build, and I want to do a scheduled Backup via the integrated task manager. The backup should run once a week (every Friday at 10AM) and doing a new fullbackup.
The backup is stored on an external usb harddrive. I also checked that option which says "if task missed, then run at start" (something like this should be the translation for the german message at that checkbox).
If the usb harddrive is connected just beforde the task will run, everything is fine.
If the harddrive is disconnected, the task starts and fails. When I restart the PC, the backup task won´t run again. Seems like the "missed" in the checkbox just means, when the computer wasn´t running, then the task will run next time you power your computer on (and better have the usb drive connected).
Ok, when i plug in an usb stick, i get 2 more options when configuring a backup task for a fullbackup to an external usb source. I can choose, that the job only starts when the usb stick is plugged in.
This seems to be because different usb devices are handled like a fixed drive or a removable media storage.
Is there any way that acronis would show these options generally for a usb attached harddrive?
This would be very nice, because I think then I would be able to configure the backup in the way it would suit my needs.
Or is there any other possibility to configure the task in that way that the failed task will repeat one (or even more times) once the pc is restarted or a user logs on again.
Sorry for the long read. I appreciate every help.
Thank you in advance!
