I want my money back!
I upgraded ATH 2012 on the foolish assumption that it would fix some of the oddities with ATH 2011. Instead I have a product that is barely stable enough to be called beta, and that breaks a whole host of functionality that works in ATH 2011.
1. I cannot make file backups. Every time, a different file is locked. ATH 2011 never had issues with this
2. 30min - 1 hour shutdown times, with no warning, while it "completes operations"
3. I can't change backup settings - the save button is grayed out, so trying to turn verify off does not work
4. Terrible user interface
Acronis, how could you possibly let such a sub-standard piece of software into GA? This is shameful. I will be binning this unmitigated piece of rubbish and installing some alternative.

Cannot agree more on version 2012 and have to say – 2011 wasn’t better, probably even worse.
This two are just disastrous releases so personally I’m back to version 2010.
Version 2011/2012 has funny/ugly/very unprofessional look, has problems making backups on mapped drives, regardless location created backups are mostly corrupted, bootable “emergency” media can’t read perfectly functional drives, USB or even main C: drive suddenly “develops” unreadable sectors... so on and so force.
This is really a shame, after all - not a bad idea to look for the alternatives!

Here is an error caused by 2012.
It all started when I secured an area on hdd and tried to take it off.
complete and utter... rolling down a hill and getting bigger with each turn... snowball headed for hell.
Look at the attached file.
Now acronis has no idea of what to do or what happened. Guess we will wait till they get of their fat duffs from making more products to push out the door. They are getting more and more like Microsoft. Push it out the door and let some poor smuck pay for it and then sell him an upgrade that might fix it. Or better yet buy another version to fix the last version and then sell him another one. By then he will get tired and throw all the old stuff away and get new stuff and start all over.
Watch out Bill Gates!!

in diesem Beitrag kann ich allen zu 100% zustimmen. Ich möchte auch mein Geld zurück. Aber eins weiss ich genau: nie wieder Acronis True Image. Lieber jemandem spendieren als sowas zu kaufen. Ich bin total enttäuscht.

ACRONIS TRUE IMAGE 2010 was very good. TRUE IMAGE 2012 is utter garbage and an insult to Acronis customers. Unfortunately due to my good experience with 2010 I recommended 2012 to friends - I have advised them to ask for their money back.

While Ronnie Reader's post with reference to a serial number has been corrected, the post from Kenneth Kuhlman, quotes the immediate previous post, which still has a serial number. Your post is 1 hour and 11 minutes later.
Does this forum have a moderator, and does the person have the tools to fix the problem.
A moderator's job on a board requires a lot of dedication, many hours, and the turn over may be frequent.
I hope the serial number is retired and that Ronnie Reader will not have any problem with a refund.
While I am not very happy with Acronis TIH 2012, I have my suspicions that the Ronnie Reader post was a very deliberate and stupid STUNT!

I made a decision!
Iwas using TI as a loyal customer for 10 years with 11 registered and payed products. After trying ATIH 2012, I could not even istall that trash in a brandnew Win7 SP1 system, I raised a service case and did not get an answer within the next 10 days.
I successfully requested a refund and that was it. I installed 2011 again. After a week or so I thought that can't be it. I uninstalled 2011 and instead of an "Acronis Secure Zone" I eventually now have an
"Acronis Free Zone"
Since that time I am a happy user of "EaseUS Todo Backup 3.0" free version. To my surprise I am not missing any of the core features of ATIH, I have not seen any bug within 3 weeks, I do not have to pay a "Plus Pack" to have a WinPE backup medium, I......., it is just perfect!

I have to agree. I have purchased a number of Acronis products over the years. Was happily using 2010 and upgraded to 2012. When I first used 2012 I noticed it would not support backing up to my network (like 2010) does so I decided to uninstall 2012 and reinstall 2010. This process caused the BSOD and it took me two days to recover. I reinstalled 2010 and it works ok. However, I now am experiencing freeze ups when I boot. Often takes 2-3 times to reboot to full operation.
Guess this is the last time I will use Acronis...Someone needs to be shown the road for the shoddy work!

Wow ! Thanks everyone for your comments. I was just about ready to plunk down $125 for 5 licenses on the Halloween Promo and was searching this forum for License Regulations and came across these posts. I have been a committed fan of Acronis TI 2010 which saved my butt many times when I was using a laptop with a bad HD. But, I will not be buying this product until I see some more positive reviews. TOO BAD. This happens alot with subsequent versions of Originally Good Software.

Da meint man, man tut sich etwas gutes und vertraut dem Namen Acronis, und dann sowas.
Nicht funktionierende Software, hirnrissige Fehlermeldungen Ereignis-Code: 0x0064000D+0x00040014+0x0000FFF0+0x800704C3 und der Support taucht unter.
So geht man nicht mit Kunden um.
Wo kann ich meine Kontonummer hinterlassen?

I'm using Acronis TrueImage since 2006. At this time it was the only solution to backup system partition while running Windows.
Some days ago after a system crash I updated from Home 2010 to Home 2012 to be up to date for Win 7 x64 Ultimate- and was totally shocked!
It's no backup software but a nightmare.
Just using EaseUS ToDo Backup Free 3.5- same functions, for FREE!
And try to get my money back.

Where can I get a refund? I'm having a support case open no for allmost 3 Months on ATIH 2012 and I have to agree - this was my last acronis product! Including a 2-digit number of Server licences at work i wanted to buy last month...
But - where can I get my money back for my 3 2012 licences?

Did you use the Webdownloader or download the complete program from your account?
I've found that the webdownloader occasionally doesn't download all the component parts of ABR11 if the default option is chosen, it's better to choose the custom option.
If you selected to store the MSI files, try re-installing Agent-Core again - this needs to be installed before Acronis Agent is installed.
Your post has appeared in the Home forum rather than the ABR11 one so not many ABR11 users will see it.
