TI 2011 - Build 6942 - Not recognizing USB Drive and previous . tib Files on 2nd Internal Drive
Long time user of True Image. My PC is Dell Desktop - two Internal Drives and two USB drives (Maxtor II, and WD - My Book)
I only use the bootable CD (made from downloadable .iso file) and have been using TI 2010 Build 6053...but recently purchased TI 2011 upgrade in early July of this year during the promotion of the free Plus package. I burned CD's of TI 2011 Builds 6857, 6868, and 6942.
When using TI 2010 - Build 6053....all drives are listed:
Disk 1 - My Book (E)..........................................USB
Disk 2 - MAX II (F)..............................................USB
Disk 3 - NTFS (C), Fat 16, Fat 32........................Internal
Disk 4 - NTFS (Drive (E).....................................Internal.
When Browse is selected for location of backup, Folders and previous backups of .tib files are listed correctly on all the drives.
2nd Internal
Max II
My Book
Was planning to send info below via email to support group....but option was unavailable because support for 2011 ended in July - less than a month after purchase ???
Problem:
Booted 2011 - Build 6942 today.
All Hard Drives and partitions were listed correctly - same as above...Drive 1, 2, 3, 4.
However, when Browse was selected for location of backup.....Drives were different....MY Book was not listed and previous .tib files on 2nd Internal drive were not listed Here is the list:
Local C
Drive E (D))........2nd Internal ------Folder for Images listed..but previous .tib backup files not listed
CD-RW Drive (E
Removable F.................No Items to Display
Local Disk G.................No Items to Display
Max II H......................Folder of Images was shown (No previous .tibs on this drive- but I suspect they would be missing same as Drive E (D)
Computers near me
FTP Connections
Please Note from above list.........My Book - USB was not listed
I booted TI 2011 - Build 6868 with the same results.
No options are selected during boot on TI 2010 or TI 2011.

Thank you for your help.
1) On My Book USB Drive not being recognized:
I used the WD diagnostics program and viewed the smart options. Everything had green check marks..but I did not see an option to select/deselect anything. Sometimes XP fails to show this drive..but it is easily resolved by powering off/on the drive. I did this while booted from the recovery CD and received an error that sector 63 could not be read from Disk 1. ATI hung...and I rebooted OS.
The drive may be on a USB hub....If so, I will test w/o the hub. If that does not resolve the problem....I will replace it with a new Seagate. .
2) On not seeing .tib files...this is not a problem ......my error.
I forgot that I had deleted old .tib's on 2nd Internal drive...in preparation for backup w/ ATI 2011. Another folder on the drive contains the Fat16 and Fat 32 backups from ATI 2010...and both are listed by ATI 2011. All my old backups of the OS from C partition are on My Book - USB drive which is not recognized.
Thanks again.

1) What about this one?

The hub might be issue also. Wouldn't be the first time.
2) Makes sense.
