Error loading OS

I'm running WinXP sp3. I cloned a 300gB boot disc to a new 300gB disc successfully. Installed the new disc and got an "error loading OS" message. Both discs were made by Seagate.

Any suggestions?

Welcome to our Forum, it's nice to have you among our Customers. I understand your concern, and would like to help you.

Usually this happens when the target drive (the one you're cloning to) is attached via USB drive during the clone process. The best way to clone the drive is to: 

  1. Attach the target drive directly to the machine (the target can be attached via USB)
  2. Perform the operation from the bootable media

I would advise you to re-clone the drive following the above suggestions and check is the issue remains. It might help to solve the problem.
