Can not delete

Thread needs solution

I am trying to remove Acronis from my Vista computer but the uninstaller says I must be an administrator. Nothing I try will get Acronis out of my computer. Please help.

You could try to use Revo Uninstaller and these posts in combination to manually clean up:

http://forum.acronis.com/forum/26439 (at your own risk)

If using the http://kb.acronis.com/content/1620 information, please note

UPDATE: For TIH 2012 build 6131, the Storage Filter is changed as follows:
vsflt61.sys (vidsflt61 service - Acronis Disk Storage Filter - lower filter for *1)

Acronis is YOUR program and none of you can tell me how to get it off my computer? There is no UNINSTALL command? I tried Revo Uninstall and Acronis is the ONLY program not listed. It is on my desktop, and I find it when I search in Vista, but it is a no show in Revo.

I have no idea what any of you are talking about in the two sites given. Your program does not work and I want it off my computer. Is there ANYONE who knows how to do this and can tell me in plain English?

What do you keep saying "your program"? None of us are Acronis employees so nothing is ours. If you're going to feel like you're entitled for something from other users like us, then find help somewhere else.

Marc:

I thought Pat L was a part of Acronis since he answers so many questions. If you are not an employee of Acronis I mean no offense and you should not take any. My frustration IS directed at any member of the Acronis staff who SHOULD be reading this forum. First their program does not work for my simple purposes, and a tech support person even admits they have known about the original problem, and NOW I can not delete this worthless program from my computer. Surely you understand my frustration.

I reiterate I have no anger toward anyone not employed by Acronis. Now can SOMEONE PLEASE tell me how to get this thing off my computer and I will never come back here! Thank you !

Crescere,

None of the MVPs are Acronis employees. Just folks that spend a lot of time with Acronis products and users :-)

Is there a possibility you install Acronis under another user? That you change or rebuilt your user account since you installed Acronis?

Download the lastest Acronis installer for the version that you are trying to uninstall, disable your security software, and run is "as an administrator", then choose "repair install".

At this point, you should be able to uninstall.

Then, download this clean up utility here: http://kb.acronis.com/content/14871

If none of the above works, try revo uninstaller again. Click on "forced uninstall", choose "advaced" scanning mode, in the search terms enter "acronis".
