BSOD and boot failure after True Image OEM install on Win7
I've been using True Image OEM on XP machines flawlessly for years.
First Windows 7 machine and I've knackered it in 30mins!
Installed True Image OEM HDD (came with a hard drive years ago i believe), installer asked to reboot and now BSOD just after the Windows 7 colour dots startup screen.
It's a generic "a problem has been found and Windows has been shut down to protect your computer" BSOD that flashes up followed by a restart.
"Startup repair cannot repair this computer automatically"
I can get to a command prompt via 'advanced options for system recovery and support' but am unsure how to proceed from there.
Any assistance GREATLY received.

@Pat L many thanks. Here is the OEM version screenshot.
I am now aware that this version does not support Windows 7.
My main concern is figuring out what went wrong and how to fix it.
Possibly a moved or rewritten MBR?

Definitely a version older than 2010....
Not a problem of MBR. Most likely a driver has been installed that is not compatible with Windows 7. When you boot up can you hit F8, choose repair computer and try to recover the system?
If you have started your computer before you installed Win7, you should have System Protection on (it is by default) and you should have your system archived there.
If not, I would reinstall Windows 7. If you have the applications and system OS, that should be manageable.

Thanks Pat,
I can't restore the system. I bought the system as a package...windows 7 was missing from the invoice, therefore the builder didn't make a restore image...
Any other way to remove this driver you think?
The PC manufacturer seemed to think true image had moved or rewritten part of the MBR? If that was the case it wouldn't find windows or would display a message regarding missing MBR right?

An MBR issue would result in something like Missing OS or a blinking cursor.
Most likely you have a corrupted registry with a bad driver.
Can you get to the Windows boot options by hitting F8 repeatedly as the system starts?
