acronis true image asz updater has stopped working

TI 2010, w7 rtm 64bit, 150g drive. upgraded "in place" from vista64 ultimate to w7x64 ultimate with ti 2010 alredy installed. Made 2 complete backups. found one "bug?" when editing task, if going through edit task in sequence, no problems, but skipping back to previous option causes hang condition - reboot to clear. So tried repair option in t1 2010, same problem. Then uninstalled ti 2010, reinstalled 2010 now get error: acronis true image asz updater has stopped working. Thing is, I never (intentionally) created a secure zone, never used it before and do not want it now. I have valid (at last working ti 1020) of a backup.tib on second hd. But problem is now program will not load at all. I will try unistall and reinstall once again.
