ATIH v11 - Backup Failed - Failed to open data stream.

Thread needs solution

I changed my backup method from the default to Custom Incremental and since then every back has failed. Does the custom backup work?

You probably need to reset your backup task.
- First, using Windows Explorer, copy (do not delete) the TIB backup archive(s) you want to keep to another folder for safekeeping,
- Second, from within TI, delete (not remove) your backup. This will delete your settings, original TIB archives and your schedule
- Third, recreate your backup task and see if the issue persist.

If it persists, we might have to do some further cleaning.

Note, if you have few backup tasks and you don't mind recreated them all, just unistall ATI and reinstall it instead of the second step.

Unfortunately we upgraded to 2012 on the machine and created a whole new backup. It looked to be ok, but we just installed the latest patch, so will have to test to make sure the restore still works or if we have the above problem again...
