Auto shutdown after scheduled backup in TI Home 2010
I've just started using TI Home 2010 and have created a scheduled backup task to run at night. When the backup is finished, I want the computer to shut down. I have tried putting the shut down command (shutdown -s) in the POST execution field, and also tried running it as a batch file. Both create an error. How do I get the PC to automatically shut down once the backup is completed?

Sorry. Forgot to say, it's windows 7. Not sure I can get the windows scheduler to launch the shutdown after backup completed & can't set for a particular time as the backup time can vary. Any ideas?

Hi Steve,
Try this as a post execution:
Command: SHUTDOWN
Arguments: -T 0 -S

I had already tried the shutdown command but tried again. Doesn't shutdown, just creates a series of errors in the log. This is so stupid because if you do an immediate backup there is a tick box to shutdown on completion but that doesn't appear when creating a task for a scheduled run.

What happened to the Home 2009 option "do you want to shutdown the computer on completion?" which popped up when a task is executed manually?

Hello all,
Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.
Babac, thank you for your help, you're absolutely correct, this command should turn the PC off right after the backup job.
However, you should specify a working directory for the command. Please have a look at my setup, it's a Windows 7 Ultimate box with the latest build of Acronis True Image Home 2010 installed:
I have scheduled the backup task and this post-command worked perfectly, my PC was turned off right upon the backup job completion.
However, there's only one limitation: this will not work if you have Acronis True Image open. I've already reported this issue to the appropriate department and it'll be fixed soon.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Thank you.

Hi Ilya;
How did you schedule an TIH 2010 task that runs only when PC shutdown has been requested by a user. I am sure I follow your schedule did you schedule a daily event for a particular time that forced PC shutdown. Please explain how you scheduled TIH to run when PC shutdown has been requested by a user.
