Hi André,
Comment vous allez-tu?
When you create this rescue CD, it is important not to close the cd tray until prompted to do so or wait until it closes by itself.
Vous me comprenez-tu?

I believe Andre was referring to output of the acronis winpe iso builder. It does not work.... at least on my 64 bit system. Anyone out there that can confirm this and suggest how to inject acronis into the winpe build?

Exactly,
The error occurs while the system is trying to build the iso. There seems to be a process that "mount" a file. If there was a log of the operations we could detect where is the error. I wonder why Acronis is advertising Plus Pack and we cannot get any support on a malfunction like this one. Ok it's been more than 30 days since I have the license but naturally, Plus Pack is not an option that we use right after we buy it.
I would have to pay for support, I think it's not normal with that kind of problem.

Andre,
I have had issues with the WinPE builder, but I managed to go through with 2011. Seemingly, with doing the same thing, the wizard was behaving slightly differently. I remember I was following the help file instructions.

Anyway, you might want to look here and see if it helps: http://forum.acronis.com/forum/19969

Bottom line is the ISO builder app does not work as advertised on 64 bit systems. I did an online chat with a "technician" who was clueless as to the issue and only referred to the how to pages. Perhaps the ""C:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis\TrueImageHome\winpe_iso.exe" program does not work with 64 bit systems that Winpe is needed for if you are repairing/loading 64 bit systems. I have tried other trial backup products (Macrium and EaseUS) that build WInPE recovery 64 bit discs with their product embedded without any problem.

I have an open case with Acronis asking if that is the underlying problem while I an still in my 30 day grace period of product purchase and am allowed to ask questions for "free".

I have a 32 bit dell inspiron 1525 with Win 7. Frankly when I look at all the post(s) I wonder if Acronis is a
trustworty company. I am really afraid now if I have to restore my system !

Andre,

These forums are frequented by people that have issues with ATI. Those for whom it works well don't come here. Imaging software relies on low-level drivers and there are always hardware limitations in a broad user base. In addition to that, ATI has its own UI issues or bugs.

What is important is that you test your recovery CD and your disk and partition backup(s). If you can, do a test recovery on a spare disk. You'd do that with any imaging software.

If you venture in more advanced features like email backup, Try&Decide and Non-stop backup, I'd say these are less reliable. I have tested them on my systems and I don't use them.

The people who come here are the ones that really put the product to it's full capabilities I think. My problem is really simple : I cannot use the feature annonced by Plus Pack exactly for the purpose of testing the product. I cannot buid the ISO!!. As specified this should be a staigtforward and easy task to do. There is no way to officially report my problem other than paying for assistance. Does Acronis have specialists who look at the posts ?

Solved.
Problem occured because i aborted the program when i thought it was in a loop mounting the image.
After that i received the error : error creating image and could not fix it even after reinstaling the AIK and the Plus Pack.
After i upgraded the problem is fixed. So if i had reinstalled True Image I think the problem would have been fixed.
So the bottom line is : do not abort the mounting process of the builder.
