Error while accessing the feed server

Thread needs solution

I have tried about 10 times to sign in with my account to use synchronization. I keep getting the message "error while accessing the feed server. Any help would be appreciated.

Seems like a temporary issue from Acronis OR your firewall is in the way.

Hi Howard, I've just upgraded to 2012 and have exactly the same problem. It's frustrating, as synchronization was the main motivation to upgrade. I can't find any other reference to the problem than this thread.

I'm using windows 7 and can't see why its firewall would block access to the server but I've just played with the settings and it makes no difference.

Let's hope Acronis come up with an answer soon or I'll be tempted to revert to the previous version.

Upgraded to 2012 yesterday - having serious doubts today.
My valid email; address and password give
"error while accessing the feed server"
when I try to login to synchronize.
THERE DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE ANY SUPPORT FOR THIS ISSUE FROM ACRONIS

Win XP Pro 32 bit

Just my case! All the same - Acronis Home 2012 last build, right log\pass - enter my profile on Acronis site without problem, and the same message while trying to use synchro - "error while accessing the feed server". Support answered "The issue needs investigation." Wise answer, indeed.

Hello everyone,

Thank you for your posts.

There was indeed an issue with our server, I would really appreciate if you could post here if you continue to experience this problem.

Looking forward to your reply and if you have additional questions please let me know.

Thank you.

NO SYNCHRONIZATION SERVICE
I am not even sure why I have to log in to a server if I want to synchronise across my own network
ACRONIS AT ITS WORST
There are half a dozen free software synchronisation products

I log in using an accepted email address and password that works for my account and for the forums
Using the same credentials Acronis thinks about this for 2 to 4 minutes and then replies:-
"Failed to connect to Sync Server. Check your Internet connection."
I can assure you my internet connection is fine .
I cannot assure you Acronis is fine!!!!!

Gee, maybe requiring internet server logins for every local syncronization wasn't such a great idea after all. Not to mention the online backup requirement for a massively provisioned server farm and pipeline to the internet backbone. For some strange reason, I have a sneaking suspicion that Acronis may have underestimated those requirements by just a wee tad. But I'm sure their service provider (I wonder who and where located) will be happy to oblige whenever they come up with the big bucks. :^)
