Screenshot not working
ATI 2012 build 6131 using win7x64 ultimate
fyi - location of screenshots stored in following directory as .png files:
Program Data/Acronis/TrueImageHome/Screen/
Has worked twice and not worked at all for all other images. I've been unable to discern any reason why it should work those 2 times and fail all the others.
Anyone have this feature working consistently?

It also stopped working for me. I am using ATI 2012 latest built. In the settings the checkmark is there but it does not make any screenshots on starting the backup anymore . It worked fine in the beginning, but as far as I can go back in my backups, no screenshot anymore.

I've checked the log files...no error messages. And the settings show the checkmark. I've looked & looked for something that was different about the two images when it did work, and can find nothing to indicate why it quit working.

As a result of your posting, I have done some current testing on my 2012-6131 XP Pro system.
Screenshot placed inside a folder labelled
Screen
The screenshots work if the task is never edited.
If the task is edited after the first screenshot is taken, subsequent screenshots are taken but the content is empty or a 0 sized file.

Thanks for your efforts GroverH.
I created a new image task (no editing).
Sadly, no screenshot was created (nothing in the folder, no 0 byte file...nothing).
The console log includes this: Option 'take screenshot upon a disk backup start' is turned on.
When exploring the image, instead of a screenshot, there is a camera icon with the phrase "Screenshot is not available for this version".
I can't see how the difference would be related to you using XP and me using Win7x64, so I'm still stumped.

I am using Win7x64 and I have same problem, While I have checked " Take screenshot ", I get "Screenshot is not available for this version".
Does that mean this trial version of Acronis 2012 or my version of Windows?
I have yet to get even one screenshot.
Hope someone can lead me in the right direction.

Hello everyone,
Thank you very much for your posts.
I am sorry about this issue and I would like to help you with resolving it.
Please make sure you are using the latest build of Acronis True Image Home. Could you get back to me with Acronis True Image 2012 Home system report and exact steps for the specific backup task so that I can forward this problem to our Testing Lab. It could be system specific that is why we need system information from your machines to get to the bottom of it.
Please let me know if you have additional questions.
Thank you.

Acronis True Image 2012 Home system report attached.
Exact steps to reproduce.
1. run ATIH2012
2. create a disk image
3. Verify "Take a screenshot upon a disk backup start" option IS selected.
4. Upon image completion, when exploring the image, instead of a screenshot, there is a camera icon with the phrase "Screenshot is not available for this version".
Grover's suggestions above, while appreciated, did not resolve the issue.

Acronis True Image 2012 Home system report attached.
Anton,
I uninstalled ATIH2012 & I uninstalled the PP.
I then installed the latest build of ATIH2012 and re-installed the PP.
I then performed a full image backup using the new build.
As with the previous build, it DID create the screenshot on first use.
On subsequent image, the "Screenshot is not available for this version" message displaces.
So, the latest build has not addressed this bug.
As you've requested, I have upgraded to the latest build, repeated the steps, and can reproduce the bug.

This is still a problem as of 9/2/12. I am a new user of ATIH 12.0 on my WIn 7 64 bit system, been running a couple of weeks, have never seen a screenshot. It is possible there was one or two in my early testing, not sure. My symptoms are exactly as described in this thread.

I to had the same problem, 2012 was working perfectly no issue with snap creation.
Windows failed, I formatted drives started from scratch, reinstall windows, reinstall acronis home 2012 now no screen shot was taken on first and second backups then for wahtever reason it started to take snap again.
The only thing i did different was after the second backup i installed java 7. Could that have been the cause of the issue no java?

apparently, appropriate means "no one - go screw yourself"
it's funny how this problem was never resolved and they just decided "well, screw the fact that these guys bought our full version. we'll just make them upgrade to get a fix"
and then you wonder why i won't upgrade. you go to support and it says "screw you. you have an old version. who cares if it still has problems. go ask on the forums where you will be soundly ignored on this issue".
i'll NEVER upgrade my software. i'd pirate it first!
