TI Home not able to detect "Windows 7" style MBR hard discs?

Thread needs solution

I use Acronis TI Home 2011 to boot from Recovery CD in order to backup my system partition.

I can successfully boot from this partition a 64bit Win7 installation. So it must work.

However after booting TI tells me:

"Acronis TI Home has not found any hard disk drive"

Whats that?
The only thing I can imagine is that TI cannot recognize "Windows 7" style MBRs (only WinXP" MBRs.

Is this problem known?

MBR disks can be seen just fine. The problem is that the drive itself can't be found because the drive controller isn't correctly supported. This usually means the Linux version (TI on the CD) doesn't contain the proper drivers for the computer.

Make sure you're using the latest build of the TI 2011 CD (you can download it from your account). Otherwise, you may need to upgrade to TI 2012 to get a more updated CD.
