Why buy ATH Pluspack?
Can someboby explain me why needs to buy the Pluspack? In my case, I could use an full-system-image on different Hardware without any problems.
I had to replace my 100-GB System-SSD. I pluged to my system my new SSD from an other manufacter (120GB) and overwrite my image on it. My System and Windows works!

You lucked out. Windows had enough ofhte right, or clsoe-enough drivers built into it that you got away with it. Count your blessings and rejoice. Just don't brag too much. ;)

The plus pack is useful if you want to use the Windows PE environment for backup and recovery. I have no GUI issues with the PE environment vs minor ones with the Linux one.

Joshi4,
If I read your post correctly, you changed one disk on the same system. This is not "dissimilar hardware" even if you have a different disk manufacturer. If the disk controller changes (eg you change from SATA to RAID, or you put your disk in another computer), you will need the Universal Restore function included in the Plus Pack to try the restore.
As Marty56 points out, you can use the Plus Pack to produce a WinPE-based recovery disk, which is useful when the Linux drivers in the default recovery CD do not see your disks or other hardware well. This capability is independent of the Universal Restore feature.
