TI 2010 "Failed to read" errors
I am now getting error messages and scheduled backup fails each day. Th log errors are:
--------------
Failed to read data from the disk.
Failed to read from sector '57,779,571' of hard disk '1'.
Failed to read the snapshot. (0x10C45A)
CRC error (0x100155): ⎂Retry/⎂Ignore/Ignore ⎂All/⎂Cancel
-----------------
I'm assuming that "hard disk '1' is refers to what Vista calls "Disk 0" , where my C partiton, the one being backed up when the error opccurs, resides. Disk check find no errors on partiton C.
Does anyone know what this error really means and more important, how to make it go away. BTW, if I run it manually and reply "ignore" to the error, the backup finishes suiccessfully and the backup validates as OK.

Running ChkDsk with the sector recovery scan seems to have fixed it.
Just as a note, the command version of ChkDsk will not scan the boot partition under Vista unless you select the "admin cmd.exe" search result from entering CMD on the Start menu Search AND then right click and select "Run as administrator". I believe that right clicking the desired drive in Explorer and then selecting Properties/Tools/Check Disk and selecting the "fix errors" and "scan/recover sectors" checkboxes will accompish the same thing.
Should the SnapAPI drivers remain installed?
Thanks for the prompt help.

Hello Gary,
Thank you for using Acronis Products
If the issue doesn’t reproduce anymore there is no need in SnapAPI installation.
