ATI 2012 - Save the settings as default problem

Thread needs solution

Hello

Just upgraded to ATI 2012 and noticed a small quirk. When I try to save the image restore default settings, they do not stick after reboot. Am I managing to do something wrong with such a simple setting?

system:
Windows 7 64 bit
Latest ATI 2012

Hello sam0t,

Thank you for your comment. I will do my best to help you.

Could you please get to me with the following diagnostic information so that I can forward it to our Testing Lab? We need to verify if it is a known issue or not:

1. AcronisInfo report before reboot.

2. AcronisInfo report after reboot.

You can send them to via a private message if you like.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.

Hi sam0t,

Thank you very much for the follow-up.

I got your message and I sent the reports to our Testing lab. As soon as I hear from them I will post here.

In the meantime if you have additional questions please let me know.

Thank you.

I also have the problem that saving as a standard has no effect. For example, the notification options (email settings) must be re-entered the job done. I work with Win7 (32).
With the 2010 version, this has previously everything worked well

Hello all,

We have reproduced this issue and the fix will be available in the next update of Acronis True Image 2012 Home.

I am sorry for any inconvenience and if you need additional help please let me know.

Thank you.

I am still hAVing this problem where TI2012 home does not save my backup options as defaul..... they don't stick and rever to TI's defaults..... a simple checkmark and selection of 'reserved backup copy' needs to be entered each time I run my backups...... still not fixed after an hour on the chat session yesterday and a few buils after what Anton said would be fixed by now.... using TI 2012 Home build 2131. Thanks!

Hello everyone,

Thank you for your follow-up, I have some news about this issue.

I am terribly sorry for the inconvenience, this issue was not fixed in the latest update, build 6131. We are, however working on it and the fix will be available in Update 2.

Please accept my sincerest apologies for this and if you need additional help please let me know.

Thank you.

Hey Anton

Can you confirm, has this issue been resolved in the latest version ATIH2012 #6154 ?

Similar issue with 7119 here but only on my Win 7 x64 system (Vista x32 is OK). The email notifications work when I test them but the information is not saved and thus the notification event never fires.

Anard,

This may help explain for now but a fix is needed.

Thanks for that. I think I had two things going on.

1) the issue you mention
2) permissions on the script file

I resolved #2 by giving the User account full permissions to the Scripts folder. So like you mention I now don't see the settings but they are finally sticking in the .tis file. I'll wait to see if I get a notification after the next backup. :)

Damn, scratch that. I made one change to the backup scheme, closed the application and it wiped out my mail settings again in the .tis file.
