Newbie question: How much space does inc and diff backups take?
Looking to make a full backup weekly of a 2008 R2 server which has the OS + a 6TB hard drive with install files, customer bills, and a couple of other things saved on it/to it.
After that, do incremental or differential backups daily.
At the end of the week, move original and all the inc/diffs over to an offsite machine via internet.
We would add probably 30MB per day on an average day, up to 500MB
----------------------
1. What would be the size of the daily backups (for example Wednesday's diff) individually?
2. What would be the size of the daily backups (for example Wednesday's inc) individually?
I may not be explaining this correctly, so let me know if something's unclear.

The generic rule/estimate for incrementals backups is about 15% of a full...but it really depends on the amount of changes. YMMV.
As for Diff vs Inc... Differential is amount of changes since last full backup. You take a full backup on Sunday. Monday's Diff will be 30mb-500Mb; Tuesday diff will be Monday's Diff amount + 30mb-500mb...and so on. Incremental backups would be simply the changes each day.

System: 19GB full, 129GB free.
Data disk: 919,500 files, 860GB used of 5TB

I assume it's 12 GB free instead of 129. If you're going to use ABR11, partially because of this http://kb.acronis.com/content/12062 (a temp file created strictly on system drive)- and especially before release of the next announced build I'd recommend to avoid backing up huge number of files (and 1 mln is huge) as file backup. Split them to several pieces of roughly equal size if you can afford it (i.e. file set backed up for a day will not represent specific point in time) or use disk backup.

It is actually 129 free.
I guess I'm unsure of what you mean by disk backup vs file backup.
Second kind of related question:
What kind of space would one need to store ALL (full+each day's diff.) backups?
Like the full 6TB original backup + monday's diff. + tues diff. + (every day that week)
Would that equal:
6TB+30mb+30mb+60mb+120mb+240+480+960+1920= ? Or
6TB+30mb+30mb+30mb+30mb+30mb+30mb+30mb= ?

Regarding partition vs file backup (from ABR11 help)- http://www.acronis.com/support/documentation/ABR11/index.html#738.html
About size - neither.
For differentials it would be 6TB+30mb+60mb+90mb+120mb+150mb. Then you move it offsite and (I presume ) start over with new full. Second with all backups equal to 30 mbs is when incremental type is used.
