esata and advanced backup options

Thread needs solution

I'm hoping there is some easy solution to this. I've an external sata drive that I use for backups and I schedule the backup. However, under the advance backup options there is no option for:

"Run when the current destination device is attached"

How and what do i need to do to get this to appear? Can I include the option in the scheduled xml backup file manually?? How do I get the option to appear?

This option is available only for USB devices, not for eSata devices.

In order for this option to appear, there must be a USB disk attached and the disk must be listed as a the target in that particular task.

One additional option available to you is to use the accessory "Drive Notify" (check my signature link below).

Once Drive Notify is configured, it works from the TI Pre/post pre command. When TI calls for a backup to be started, a Drive Notify window will pop up and advise you to attach a specific external drive. The window will remain on the screen until a specific designated external disk is attached and then the Window will retire and the backup will begin. DriveNotify uses a form of disk identification so it recognizes when the correct storage disk is attached.

I use the program with my eSATA disks and it works without issues.
