Massive uninstallation Problems with 2012
Hello
I use since years very fine TrueImage 11 but in SSD times the 11 is not doing correct Alignment so i tested the 2012 Trailversion. But it makes massively Problems:
1. WHY during Installation, 2012 was not shown that my 11 is delete/overwritten ??? After its done, no more 11er on my System.
2. The new style i dont like really, so i want to uninstall 2012 BUT the uninstall is crashed with fatal error and rolling back. Ok, i found after searching the Cleaner Tool and it was deleted all Acronis from my System and i thinked its all ok.
3. BUT NOW the great Problem. I reinstalled my 11 and after restart the Windows 7 OS is NO MORE WORKING !! After Welcome Screen the Screen is black, only the Mousecursor is showen and i can start Taskmanager.NO MORE. I can do that i want but nothing works. My Windows 7 Installation is now destroyed. Only a Backup before have saved me.
4. And finally it is not possible to become support for this Problem. I carnt found an email to contact someone for free. Should i pay for a Supportticked because my System was destroyed from Acronis ?
That do you tell to this ?? Iam shocked about such Problems.
My System:
Windows 7 Home x64 (2 days before fresh installed), Intel Q9650 CPU, Asus P5Q-E, 8GB DDRII Kingston Ram. 64GB Supertalent SSD, 1TB Samsung F2 HDD, Asus 6950 VGA

yes, thats the only thing (restore a bakup before) that saved me for more disaster. but all in all iam very disappointed in all points about acronis. bas install, bad uninstall, bad reinstall of older version with systemdestroying and finally no free support for all this.
so what i do now ? iam looking for backuptool with correct working alignment for ssd by restoring o cloning. is the 2011 version made this correct ?
my still true image 11 v8105 (not 2011) makes on ssd 31k bad alignment. an update for this i think will never come.

2011 is pretty good with preserving alignment and automatically setting the right offset in many case, but not all. In particular, if you restore a full disk and the disk is not aligned, the result will not be aligned.
When you backup or clone an aligned disk there is no issue.
When in doubt, use the recovery CD and manual cloning, or manual restore (one partition at a time) so that ATi shows up how it will lay out things.
With older versions, including 2012, using manual methods was not working because the size/offset adjustments could not handle precise whole MB numbers. That was solved with 2011.
