SnapAPI Logs Littered in C:\
During recent troubleshooting, Acronis tech support had me install a logging version of SnapAPI, but did not tell me how to reinstall the regular version.
Using Windows XP Home SP3 with Acronis TIH 2012 build 6154.
How do I put the regular version of SnapAPI back?

Anton,
I was going to respond to the post by Les, but you beat me to it. I am a bit confused though, as the link you have posted is for SnapAPI_640, and there are several links to SnapAPI for Acronis True Image Home 2012 that point to different versions of SnapAPI. I am running SnapAPI_685 on my installations of True Image Home 2012 build 6154 . Since there seems to be no one place that points to the SnapAPI and and/or Virtual Disk drivers, how are the users supposed to know which version is current or relevant to their installed software? Here are the links I have found so far:
http://kb.acronis.com/content/1515
http://kb.acronis.com/content/25347
http://kb.acronis.com/content/26062
According to the article in the second link (kb 25347), SnapAPI_640 is for Acronis Backup & Recovery 10/11 NOT Acronis True Image Home 2012. The SnapAPI version in the third article (kb 26062), is for SnapAPI_675(?), and the SnapAPI version in the first article (kb 1515) show SnapAPI_685 as the correct version for True Image Home 2012 . Could we have some clarification and a sticky link to the lastest SnapAPI, Virtual Disk, Scheduler v2, and as well as any other patches such as the patch found here:
http://kb.acronis.com/content/1863.
I have clients, as well as myself, that run many different versions of True Image Home from versions previous to True Image Home 10 up to and including True Image Home 2012. I keep a DVD with all of the latest installers for all the versions I support, as well as the most current updates and patches for all of them. It is really difficult to find some of these files by searching through the support forum and knowledge base, when they could be made more readily accessible for those of us needing to find them, as well as making it clear which ones are current and which version of the backup software they work with.
Thank you for taking time to review this post.

Hello James,
Thank you very much for your suggestions. You are absolutely right and I apologize for the error. I corrected the download link in my previous post.
Your idea for making a sticky thread with current SnapApi versions is brilliant. I will start working on it and will post it shortly.
We will not be able to publish direct download links for them because installing incorrect driver version can do more harm than good, but anyone will be able to contact me via a private message with a description of his issue and I will be able to help him.
If you have additional questions please let me know.
Thank you.

Hi, Anton, I tried installing from the link you sent, including the option to "Disable event logging" and the software is still creating logs. It looks like you've changed the link since I downloaded, I have downloaded it once more, and hope this version stops the logs.
Thanks

Les,
To get rid of the excess, do a file search for
snapapi2012*.log
and you should be able to delete everything found as they will all begin with the snapapi2012 you showed in your link.

Heh, Grover, I know how to delete them. I just wish they wouldn't create them. Going to try the 685 in place of 640 and report back.

Second version worked, but it never prompted me with the "Disable event logging" during the install. Anyway, no logs being generated now.
