Ti2010 Home - Build 6029 remains in TaskManager

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I've just installed the latest available build of Ti2010: 6029 over an existing 5055 build. After a reboot I tried to run TI2010 and a message box (launched by TI2010!) tells me that True Image 2010 is not installed - funny isn't it?

OK, I installed a second time, repair installation, rebooted and finally TI2010 starts up. I entered the "Task and Log" section and re-arranged some columns and quit TI2010.

Guess what? TrueImage.exe still hangs in the TaskManger (Win7 Pro, x32) - I had to kill it manually. But nevertheless, each subsequent try to quit TI2010 results in this behaviour.

I hoped that some of my reported issues would have been fixed. The product history reads: "Column settings in "Tasks and Log" are kept after restarting Acronis True Image Home 2010"

However, it seems things have gotten even worse now! I guess I will revert to build 5055 and wait for a further release.

A second issue, I'd reported some weeks ago, seems to have been fixed, although not mentioned in the history: The TI2010 GUI constantly freezes while editing an existing backup job - I could not reproduce this one with the latest build.

Anyway the most annoying feature is now that TI2010 does not properly exit, so what happens here?

I had the same issue. Did an upgrade, it claimed it was not installed. Did a repair, it failed to exit properly.

Did an uninstall/reboot/install/reboot, all is fine.
