Disk Director Server installation problem

Thread needs solution

Hey all,

I am trying to evaluate Disk Director Server on Win Server2008 R2 but am getting the following message during installation:

Acronis Disk Director 11 Advanced Agent

Warning

Code: 013795847
LineTag: 0x851efe822fcbb586

SubError

Code: 0196610
LineTag: 0x5345a17fd3514f7
Message: CertificateUri is null

Any idea where to start with troubleshooting?

Thanks,

James

FYI - I have checked the workstation service and it is both running and set to automatic. I have also restarted the service just to be sure.

Same here. Did you ever find a work around.

Same issue with my Windows Server 2008 R2, too. I'm trying to install a NFR license to test it (I'm a reseller).
Workstation service up and running.
Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 Advanced Server is running on the same server, too.

Any help?

I am told that B&R needs to be removed completely and installed on TOP of DD

Its also possible that uninstalling B&R does NOT completely remove it and ADD will still not install

I am currently trying the various desktop product cleanup tools, but havent been able to locate a tool specifically for server 08 r2 x64

i will post my results later today

Ok i uninstalled AB&R and ran this cleanup utility:
Acronis True Image Home 2012 Cleanup Utility: http://kb.acronis.com/content/24545

unfortunately, my server is in production and i have 4 users active, and the cleanup utility is requesting a reboot so i cannot determine if the thing worked.
i find it encouraging that it found items to clean up even though it was for a different flavor of B&R.

Dont know if you can give it a try and get a reboot sooner than i can. I will have to wait until after hours to reboot.

OK so that solved the problem for me - uninstall backup and recovery advanced server, run the true image home 2012 cleanup utility, reboot.
BAM! - ADD installs fine now.. (sigh)

Now WHY isn't that somewhere in the knowledge base already?

Thanks a lot!
I was wondering if the cause of the issue was related to Backup & Recovery 11..
You confirmed my suspects.

I suspected it too, but uninstallation did NOT correct ir - I had to run a cleanup utility which i find a little annoying.
As a follow up. I was able to install B&R with no issues AFTER ADD was up and running, so they work together, as long as you install them in the correct order.

do me a favor and let me know if you have the same results. I am just curious.

Worked for me too...fortunately did not have to use uninstaller tool to do the job. Uninstalled B&R11, rebooted, installed DD11, rebooted, re-installed B&R11 - am good to go. Thanks steve h.
