Thread needs solution

Hello I am new at this Backing up and i really need some advice so here we go

I have a SSD 120gb windows 7 64b , i have a normal HDD 500gb as my back up so what i did is i cloned my SSD to HDD and every thing boots nice and smooth when i went back to my SSD i lost my Letter drives on my HDD the C but that ok coz every thing els is still working ,,, after this i have partitioned my 500GB like this 145gb that is where my clone is and 20gb where my download is and the rest is open ,,, now when i try to clone again it is showing me that it might take the partition A ( witch is my 20gb for downloads away ) but i am not sure it shows this but i am not sure ??
My Quetion is if i clone again will it keep my A partitions on my HDD or will this be Gon ??? i have a Picture for u so u may understand my Situation better .. I have really been going back and forth with this back up this + partitions i would love to have some good advice thanks much

Do not clone. There are many reasons, but simplest answer is "do not clone".

As what you want is a backup of your SSD, presumably to use in case of emergency, do a full disk backup. Create a full disk backup of your SSD, saved to the HDD. ATI will create an image of your SSD, saved as a compressed .tib file. You will be able to save several such backups to your HDD, more if you do subsequent backups as Incremental or Differential.

Great i am happy u told me this but can u please be more specific i am new at this backing up thing ,, so do u have a TUT or a small step by step to send for me and tell me what should i do now ??? thanks much will be waiting

For the goal that you described, you want Backup, not Clone. Clone has uses for other situations.
