Original DVD won't boot

When I try to boot my computer with the original DVD of True Image Home 2012 I always get the error 'MBR sector is incorrect', then the computer freezes.
Anyone a clue?

I've got no problems at all when I boot from the harddisk...

I've got the same problem with a 'self made' Acronis bootable CD.

Acronis True Image Home cannot properly access MBR, which can be caused by the reasons like errors on the drive, and in the file system or drive encryption.

I would suggest you to do the following: 

  1. Boot into your machine, and go to Start -> Run -> cmd
  2. Issue there the following command
    chkdsk /f /r
    Press Enter
  3. You will be offered to run chkdsk upon next start up. Enter "Y" (for yes), and then reboot the machine

Upon booting Windows will check the drives for consistency, and fix errors if any. Please also make sure that you have encryption turned off (if you;re using any).

If the problem remains, please send us Acronis Report from the problem machine, it might shed the light onto the situation.
