Norman,

ATI can use different names for the task and for the actual TIB files.

If you want to change the name of the task, you can do it at any time.
If you want to change the name of the TIB files created post-change, you'd better create a new task. Although it is possible to edit the backup settings, click on the destination and change the TIB file name there, it is not recommended. Changes in backup scheme, retention rules, names or destination is theoritically supported but can result in confusion/errors in future execution/restores. BEtter to create a new taks.

If you want to change the name of existing TIB files you have 2 methods:
- use the move backup command,
- rename the TIB files manually using Window Explorer, delete the task in ATI (note that will delete all linked TIB files you will not have renamed) and set up a new task for backup moving forward. If you are using a chain of backups (incrementals or differentials), I would NOT rename any file. The reason is that if you rename one file, ATI will ask you to point to the other files in the chain. If your renaming doesn't help you figuring this out, you will have corrupted your chain.

Click on the gear menu at the task level, choose edit backup settings. Change the task name there.
