Problems using bootable Acronis disk

Thread needs solution

I have had to do a recovery of my C partition (I have program material on g, f, and h as well). I had both full backups of all four partitions as well as a single backup of the C partition. Using the bootable recovery disk, it tried to poke the whole backup of four partitions into my c partition, when I had particularly specified the C partition only. When I tried to recover from the C partition backup only, the program insisted on putting the info into a different partition, where it would not be useful. I have no problem recovering particular files, etc., when I can use True Image from booted windows. I looked into the manual for details on how to do this without success.

Hello Bonnell,

I will do my best to solve the issue you experience but first can you please clarify the exact title of the program and the build number? Also what partition the program offers you when you try to recovery the system partition only?

There may be not enough space for recovery on existing system partition, please check it. Also I would recommend you to check disks for bad blocks:

- Go to the Command Prompt (Start -> Run -> cmd)

- Enter the command: "chkdsk DISK: /r" (where DISK is the partition letter you need to check) for every partition that is visible in My Computer. Please note, that checking the C: drive may require you to reboot the machine.

Let us know if you need further assistance.
