Moving Database Takes Longer Than The Backup?

I just created a new backup that ran for several hours. However, I accidentally put it in the wrong folder on my backup drive, so I started a MOVE operation to put it where I want it.

That move operation has been running for over 12 hours and it has about 19 hours to go.

Is that normal??

I'm interested in this as well - had the same issue with 2011 and finally stopped the process and manually moved the files, thus dealing with the resulting database issues.

Well, the move finally completed after some 30+ hours of work. Seems like it worked, though I have not validated the backup.
