Scheduled validation can't be changed in default settings

Thread needs solution

When I try to cancel scheduled validation in Disk Backup Options and save it to default it won't stick. The next time I do a backup and use the same Disk Backup Options it is set to active again, I have to change it every time I do a new backup. I always use the Incremental mode. Would appreciate any Assistance. Thanks

It is possible to begin a new task and change the default validation settings to your own choice and then save the default settings which will apply to all future tasks. The incomplete task can be removed from list via edit backup settings & "removed from list" backup option.

If you wish to change one particular task, this might be one option.

Who knows what the result will be but you can try this. Do at your own risk.
This action will change the validate option on one backup tasks.

Go to the Scripts folder used by Acronis
Look at the date and times of the file and try to determine which one is script for the backup task you want to change.

Right click on the script and choose "open with Notepad"
( such as B8B2359E-794D-4173-AB1A-5E89464B31E7.tib.tis)
Examine content and confirm you are in the correct script and change the
<backup check_after="true">
to
<backup check_after="false">
save the changes.

"It is possible to begin a new task and change the default validation settings to your own choice and then save the default settings which will apply to all future tasks", this doesn't work, at least for the scheduled portion of the validation setting. If I set "validate backup when it's created" to on and "Validate backup regularly" to off then save as default, it works for that backup but the next time I create the same type of backup the"Validate backup regularly" option is turned on and I have to turn it off again. It does not become part of the Default settings permanently.
